Our work
munin is an initiative whose goal is to empower individuals to store and use their personal heritage in a sovereign and private manner.
As part of this initiative, many projects are currently under the works:
- munin suite is a software suite designed to allow individuals to store and share their personal heritage in a secure way.
- munin did is an experimental sanbox to test technological developments.
- munin research council is a body of experts in fields such as medicine, data analysis, and psychology.
munin suite
munin suite is a Free Software suite that provides a platform for securely preserving your personal heritage in an interoperable and federated system.
Even though munin suite is under development, its overall goals are the following:
- You can store your personal heritage, keeping memories and experiences safe in a structured and meaningful way.
- You choose trusted custodians who may request access to your heritage (or a subset) under conditions you define, such as dementia or your passing.
- munin suite is to be built for interoperability, allowing seamless integration with other systems, ensuring broad accessibility and usability.
munin did
munin did is an experimental set of libraries and projects that provide a sandbox to test technological developments that may be introduced into the munin suite.
Currently munin did is focused on exploring decentralized protocols, federation methods, and standarized data formats.
munin research council
The munin research council is a body of experts who provide insights on the advancement of munin and contributes to the research of potential uses of personal heritage in fields such as medicine and psychology.
This council is currently exploring the following topics:
- The use of personal heritage for dementia and palliative care.
- The automated analysis and uses for personal heritage.
- The development of the aforementioned topic in a privacy preserving manner.
